FAQ 112: Budget--Locking up - cross-tested allocation with 25% coded in the source 2 specs

Problem: I seem to be having some trouble with my calculations. I have a sole prop plan that is going from integrated to cross-tested. I changed all the necessary information in the plan specs, but when I run the calculation in the budget routine it keeps locking up on me.

Solution: There is a coding problem in the Plan Specs. Go into the source 2 specs, click on the "Show Total Contrb." button and delete the 25% that is coded there. The system cannot have a percent of compensation allocation coded in the source 2 specs when it is a cross-tested plan, as the cross-tested design uses its own formula to arrive at the total contribution. Once you change this, it should run, taking only a few minutes to generate the allocation.
