FAQ 671: 410b--Disaggregation selecting plan entry dates, test keeps using statutory entry dates

Problem: When running the 410(b) report for match only and selecting the "Use Plan Eligibility" entry method to disaggregate, the test keeps using the statutory entry method.

Solution: The program will revert to statutory semi-annual entry when the eligibility is 21 and 1, regardless of the entry date option selected. That is because using plan entry would not produce a different result when the eligibility is already 21 and 1. The match is tied to Secondary eligibility in this case, and it is coded with age 21, 1 year of service and monthly entry, which is why you are seeing the results that you are seeing.
