FAQ 882: Union and Non-resident Alien Indicators in the employee ADDRESS screen?

Problem: What do these indicators in the Employee Record ADDRESS screen do? How is it different than using status U for union employees?

Solution: The Union and Non-resident Alien flags are used for coverage purposes in 410(b), 401(a)(4), 401(a)(26) and BRF. Participants coded with "Y" are excluded from these tests. These indicators are *not* used in ADP/ACP testing, so users must still code participants as status U to be excluded from the ADP test.
