FAQ 226: Importer--John Hancock beginning balances are not importing

Problem: I am trying to upload the first quarter of 2005 information, but cannot get beginning balances to upload. Are they not in the upload file I got from John Hancock? Here is the case file and the two files I downloaded from John Hancock. I was initially uploading the YTD file, but tried the other, but it didn't work either.

Solution: On the setup page of the John Hancock Import screen, check the box that says "Convert Beginning Balances".
