Problem: How do I code retirees as eligible for an employer contribution?

Solution: You can code them as a participant status code R in the employee record Dates and Status screen. Then, in the general plan specs on the Group Definition (GROUPDEF) screen, add "R" beside "AC" in the "Group #4" field. It should then read "Group #4 Active Participants - ACR". They will then be treated like an active participant for allocation purposes. Also, by default, the valuation calculations will ignore the Hours requirement coded in the source specs for anyone coded with a status "R" or a status "D" (deceased).
