FAQ 562: Importer--Is there a way to not populate the the Contributions screen?

Problem: Is there any way to import the annual activity from someone like Nationwide or John Hancock and not have it populate the Contributions (CONTRIB) screen? We would like it to populate only the Account Values (VALUE) screens, so it does not overwrite what we have imported to the CONTRIB screen from the client's census file for plan year contributions.

Solution: Yes, uncheck the "Update Contribution Screen" field when setting up the import, and the values will only be loaded to the Account Values screens.
