FAQ 934: Importer --Principal TPA Edge with SSNs having leading zeroes

Problem: When we import the TPA Edge file all employees with SSN's having leading zeroes are imported as new employees.

Solution: The only way to import the file and have the employee match to the ASC plan's employee is to be sure the SSN's match. To import this file, open in Excel first and format the SSN as Special SSN. If you do not do this these people will look like New employees since the system is programmed to pick up the first number.
