FAQ 886: Mortality Tables - Creating a table with a 7 year setback

Problem:

How do I get a table in ASC for the 1983 Individual Annuity female
rates, Males: -7, Females: -7?

Solution:

Go to Access>Table Maintenance and select Project/Setback from the Functions section.

Input the name of the new table (e.g. 83'A M7) in the Table Name field.

Next enter the description of the new table.

Select Table Option 2- Setback a Mortality Table.

Fill in the Base Mortality Table (in this case 83'A M) and the Years to Setback as 7.

Click OK & the new table will be created.

Repeat the process for creating the Female setback table using the base table of 83'A F and the new table name of 83'A F7.
