FAQ 301: Plan setup--How do I password protect a plan to restrict access?

Problem:

Can we protect a plan so that it can only be accessed by certain users? Perhaps there is a password option or some other option? We may run in to other situations. However, our current situation is that we would like to move our own plan to ASC, but we can't allow everyone to access to it on the ASC system.

Solution:

Yes, this is possible. The basics are to create a new ASC disk, e.g. D22 (or whatever) - and only this plan will be stored here. The new disk creates a new folder (D22) in the ASC directory on your network. Your IT people then need to restrict access to that particular folder using your network protocol/login.
