FAQ 707: Error 102, status 3105 starting ASC, cannot open asccat.dat

Problem:

The power was out in our building this weekend and we had to take the servers down now we are getting the error shown below. We have rebooted the workstations but not the server.

Error=102:msg=Cannot get Library:Disklib:Cannot open file:Catalog:Cannot open file:
Name=I:\NDM\ASCCAT.DAT:Status=3105.



Solution:

Status 3105 can usually be solved by stopping and starting the Pervasive service on the server or rebooting the server. Sometimes when the server is rebooted (which must have happened yesterday when the power was out) Pervasive doesn't start properly.
