FAQ 1066: Can I use an email template with a field action?

Problem: I have added a field action for which I need an email sent, but not to a user rather to an email group. How can I have the option to add the specific email address I want the email to go to?

Solution: First, you will need to create an email merge template. Leave the To: blank for the email template. Then create a field action with generating an Email merge as the action type to your special field. Save and close
