FAQ 103: ADP--No ATM calculated for participant with returned deferral and match

Problem: One HCE should be receiving a refund on his match attributable to excess deferrals of $1,299. The ADP exhibit does not reflect any match refund due to the excess deferral amount.

Solution: The reason that you are not seeing any ATM calculated for the HCE is due to the fact that he doesn't have his limited compensation calculated. The ATM calculation is based on his limited compensation, not his gross compensation. Run Selected Calculations and choose the "Limit Compensation" option on the right, and then if you run the ADP/ACP test, you should see an ATM calculated.
