FAQ 136: Budget--Cross-tested plan showing no participants in top group

Problem: I am trying to run a budget using the 404 limit and it is telling me that there are no participants coded in the top group. I think I have coded the first two participants in the top group. What is it not seeing?

Solution: 1. Make sure all employees are coded in one of the cross-tested groups. They need either a "Y" or "N" in the Principal, Key, or HCE field in their record, or a number 1 through 9 or A or B if you are using user-defined groups in the plan specs. 2. Be sure that at least one employee is coded as an HCE, and that they are in group 1. If both of the above look correct, send us a portable copy of the plan so that we can take a look at it.
