FAQ 142: HCE--Terminated HCE not showing on HCE determination |
Problem: The attached plan is not picking up someone who we think should be an HCE. The employee is Bob Smith. Mr. Smith had compensation in 2003 of over $200,000 (which is indicated in ASC's history). The employee is also noted as a 'Prior HCE' (which he was). However this year he terminated in March and worked 200 hours. He was also paid out during '04. Now ASC will not even include him in the HCE/Key calculation. |
Solution: He is a status "P", which needs to be added to the list of statuses on the HCE/Key determination screen. He will then be recognized as an HCE. |
