FAQ 189: Budget--Looping - HCE (owner's son) is the youngest person in the plan

Problem: The budget continues in a loop and is not stopping.

Solution: The problem with this plan, which I have not seen before, is the HCE's son who is the youngest employee and is coded in Group 2. So, every time that the system tries to increase Group 2's percentage, his rate is the highest in the plan, making it impossible to pass a4 ... resulting in the loop. If you put the HCE's son in Group 3 on his own with a percentage such as 5%, then the budget routine should eventually solve for the group 2 percentage needed to pass.
