FAQ 452: 415--Multiple plan excess amounts based on compensation from base plan

Problem: We are running 415 across two plans and there are 415 excesses being reported that are not valid. It appears that the compensation is not being aggregated for employees in both plans, but instead it is basing the calculations on the compensation in only one plan. I've attached the two cases, the 415(c) report and a spreadsheet with detail on the employees reported.

Solution: Be sure to check the box "Accum Comp" in the 415c setup screen. This is not the default.
