FAQ 481: Top Heavy Test--Coding someone as a former key employee in a takeover plan

Problem:

In a takeover plan, how do we code former key employees so they are not included in Top Heavy test?


Solution:

Go into that employee's record and code last year's history record (or whatever year it was) with a Key Employee status of "Yes". The go to their Name and Identification (NAME) screen and change the Key field to "No". The system should then recognize them as Former Keys when you run the top-heavy test.
