FAQ 597: Matching source--Roth not included in safe harbor match calc

Problem: I have a plan with 401(k) and Roth deferrals that are a safe harbor match. I put the formula in the match source to calculate but it is not calculating for the Roth amounts.

Solution: Under the "Show Match Fmla" button in the source 3 matching source specs screen, check the box next to the Roth source under "Sources Included in Match Calculation". The system will then include both source 1 deferrals and any sources checked here when determining the matching amount.
