FAQ 59: ADP--Forfeiture due to failed ADP/ACP

Problem: How do I code a forfeiture due to a failed ADP/ACP test? I tried creating a transaction using type 34 but it doesn't seem to post. It is shown as a posted transaction but doesn't show up at the account level.

Solution: In order to forfeit anyone's money, you must code them a status F. Instead of doing that, since you don't want to forfeit their entire account balance, use a type 3 (transfer out) transaction instead of a type 34 (amount forfeited) transaction, to avoid inaccurate vested account balances.
