FAQ 605: ADP--Safe harbor printout-How to suppress ATM?

Problem:

When running ADP tests for safe harbor plans, we like to give clients the HCE and NHCE listing to show them participants' deferral rates and participation rates. To do this, we run the ADP as a safe harbor to get the "deemed pass" page, and then again as a non-safe harbor plan to get the HCE and NHCE listings. Any thought as to how to code the ADP test so that it won't calculate ATMs?

Solution:

You do need to run the test twice if you want to illustrate the NHCE detail on a safe harbor plan. To suppress the ATM calc, uncheck the "Calculate Attributable Match (ATM)" box on the Corrections Setup screen when running the ADP test.
