FAQ 676: 401a4--How to exclude union employees from the test

Problem: I am running an ABT on a plan that needs to disaggregate the union employees as they are eligible for the plan. Can you please advise how to do this?

Solution: Union participants should be coded as a participant status U on the Dates and Status (DATE) screen and they will then be excluded from the 401a4 test.
