FAQ 1027: Importer: CSV files, Transamerica and American Funds Imports

Problem:

The Transamerica import under Utilities - Import - Importer is not working for us. We have noted that it is supposed to be a .csv file. Is that still the case?


Solution:

When the import data from file was opened in excel and resaved to a CSV file most of our clients have been able to successfully import as expected. We have seen this behavior recently on some csv import files and this seems to solve the problem. This has something to do with a record terminator in the file.
