FAQ 1112: Eligibility: Met Service Hours

Problem: How do I change 'Met Service Hours' to 'No'? I know the default is set to 'Yes' but it is grayed out and cannot be changed to 'No.'

Solution: The “Met Service” option is only applicable when the Eligibility requirement is less than a YOS. It would only apply to newly hired employee's initial computation period. Check to see if they earn enough Hours (i.e. 500) within that Service requirement period (i.e. 6 months) Y/N. If the option is greyed out, assume the Eligibility coding in the Plan Spec is coded as YOS.
