FAQ 270: Vesting--Service with a predecessor employer

Problem: New plan gives credit with predecessor employer. How do I get system to include added years of service in vesting calcuation?

Solution: Set the Hard-coded Yrs of Svc field on the Vesting screen in the general specs to "Yes", then input the years of vesting service through the end of the prior plan year in the "YrsSvc" field on the Dates and Status screen in each employee's record. If using the grid or the Variable Import wizard to populate this field, you would select the PSVYRS field on the DATE screen.
