FAQ 351: Forfeitures--Allocating forfeitures based on points

Problem: I have a plan that allocates forfeitures on a points basis (comp and service), exactly like their contributions are allocated. Can ASC allocate forfeitures with this methodology?

Solution: Code the Forfeiture Allocation Method to "3-Added to Source Contribution". This will allocate the forfeiture using the methodology selected for the contribution allocation, which is the points formula for the plan.
