FAQ 433: Employee data--Delete block of employees

Problem: Is there a shortcut I can use if I must delete a large number of employees all at once without deleting everyone?

Solution: Assuming you can sort them out based on a common data item (e.g. DOT prior to 1/1/05) - you can use the grid's Select Employees feature to isolate those employees you want to delete. You can then use the grid's Set Column Data feature to set all their Employee Numbers to "D". Once they are set to D, you can run Utilities-Change Structure-Delete "D" EE #'s.
