FAQ 466: Allocations--Match cap is not being applied

Problem: I am trying to allocate a match of 50% up to 6% of deferral, but instead of my expected results, I am getting the lesser of 50% up to 100% of deferral or $6,000. What do I have set up wrong?

Solution: Go to the Compensation Definition (COMPDEF) in the general plan specs and change the "Compensation has been Input" field to "Yes". If the system believes compensation has not been input, it will not apply the cap.
