FAQ 652: Allocations--Status "F" participant not forfeiting

Problem: Why can't I get a status "F" participant to forfeit her non-vested balance?

Solution: The status "F" indicator is only in the Primary Participation Status field in the employee's record. The Employer source is coded as having secondary eligibility applied to it, and the status code in this field is "T". Change the Secondary Participation Status code to "F" as well, and she should forfeit her Employer non-vested balance.
