FAQ 715: Importer--Lincoln import not recognizing the contract number

Problem:

We have the Source Rollup file from the Data Direct website (not the old GroupNet website) - but it is still not importing the data.


Solution:

Do the following and your file should import:

1) Enter the leading zeros in the Contract field on the Lincoln Import Setup screen.
2) When you download the file from DataDirect, you need to view and save the file in Notepad, not Excel. Excel changes the format. (The Lincoln instructions tell them to use Excel.)
