FAQ 965: ZZ Participants or records for part-vested terms

Problem: How are ZZ participants created?

Solution: When using the Calcualtions-Update to New Period-Annual you may create these zz participants under Processing Options: Choosing "Create ZZ records for part-vested terms" will create an additional employee record for terminated employees with a "ZZ" before their name. This option allows you to treat the vested and non-vested portion of a participant's account differently for earnings allocation purposes.
