FAQ 322: MSCS - Can't retrieve files from MSCS with new PC

Problem: Trying to retrieve files from MSCS mailbox on a new PC. Getting the following error: Runtime error '429': ActiveX component can't create object. Operation terminated with error.

Solution: Sent two new files: MFTP32.OCX (the classic, standard ftp control file - you may already have this) FTPX.DLL (the new FTP control file) Put both of these files in your WINNT\system32 folder, and then register both - at Start, Run, type in Regsvr32 ftpx.dll and click okay. Do the same for FTPX.DLL. Now try to receive files using the New FTP Control.
