FAQ 1137: PDF Download Issue - Commas

Problem: Client received an error message when attempting to download a PDF file from Gemini website.

Solution: We actually seen issues with web browsers like Chrome have an issue with a comma in the file name, which the file they are having an issue with has a comma in it. Have the client rename the file without a comma. Each browser has their own protocols and Chrome reacts when there is a comma in the file name that is being downloaded. Our programmers have researched this with Google and IT websites and there is no solution from the browser side. Some browsers provide a configuration setting to allow this, but not Chrome. Some would argue that Google is taking security more seriously, protecting against HTTP response splitting attacks.
