FAQ 2148: Customize Menu for Specific Plans

Problem:

We would like to selectively enable the Gemini census collection module for a specific list of plans. That functionality should remain disabled for the remainder of the plans.


Solution:

add a new Menu Option for the plans that will use the Automated Census Option.

In Gemini Customization, go to General-Plans. In Plan Type, choose ASCVal, DC and you see that you have the Default Plan. What you will need to do is click New Plan.

It will ask you to pick the Plan Type (ASCVal,DC) and you will input the Plan Name and you will input the ASCVal Plan ID, which is the Disk Library and Plan Number for the client. Make sure you include the colon as well. When you have a plan open in ASC, that code is located on the upper right side of the ASC Main Menu.


Once you fill out the information, click Save and you should see the Plan successfully added. Go back to General-Plans and the newly added plan should be on the list. From here, highlight the plan you just added and click Next with the “Style, Logo, Menus” dropdown option

Here, go to the Plan Sponsor Menu and in the dropdown choose the Menu Optin you created and click "Assign To Plan". Now the plan will include the Census Upload option.
