FAQ 2220: Excel (xls) file import is not working

Problem: I'm trying to import my excel file and it won't open, it is sitting in scan mode.

Solution: The acceptable file formats are xlsx, txt and csv. The older (2003) file extension of xls is not supported in the program effective 2026.
