FAQ 510: Tables--RP2000 Tables

Problem: I am getting ready to download updates and I found something I'm not sure about. What is RP2000 Tables? Is this something I should download into my system or is it for something I don't have?

Solution: The RP2000 Mortality tables in some form will be required to be used by the pending Pension legislation. The PBGC is already requiring a projection of the tables for use in valuing distress terminations of DB plans. You will probably need this set of tables eventually, so you may download now if you like. The Install Instructions give the specifics for getting these tables into your system.
