FAQ 4: Numbering employees on a report

Problem: I am trying to set up a census request for a client and I would like to number the employees on the request. Do you have a function I can add to the census request to track the number of the employee printing?

Solution: If you reference the system-defined value $NUMEE it will print the ordinal number of the employee. You can either reference a function (with whatever name you wish) with the definition of the function being $NUMEE, or you can just input $NUMEE as the function name within the Data section of the report.
